DESCRIPTION:The Park Ride: A Biodiversity Biking Adventure to Lake Ontario\nEnvironmental Education for a Better Earth Canada invites community members to participate in The Park Ride\, a guided cycling adventure that combines outdoor recreation\, environmental education\, and community connection. \nStarting from Black Creek Parkland and following the Humber River Recreational Trail to Humber Bay Shore Park on Lake Ontario\, participants will explore some of Toronto’s most important urban green corridors while learning about local ecosystems\, biodiversity\, and the role natural spaces play in creating healthier communities. \nWhether you are an experienced cyclist or simply looking for a meaningful outdoor activity\, The Park Ride offers a welcoming and enjoyable experience for riders of various skill levels. \nWhat You’ll Experience\n\nA guided 24 km cycling journey through parks\, trails\, and waterfront landscapes\nInteractive discussions about biodiversity\, urban wildlife\, and habitat conservation\nOpportunities to meet fellow community members and environmental advocates\nA chance to promote sustainable transportation and healthy living\nLight refreshments provided during the event\n\nEvent Information\nDates: August 22\, August 29\, and September 5\, 2026 \nTime: 9:15 AM – 12:00 PM \nMeeting Point: Sentinel Rd & Murray Ross Parkway \nDestination: Humber Bay Shore Park\, Lake Ontario \nDistance: Approximately 24 km \nDifficulty: Moderate \nRefreshment: Light refreshment available to replenish energy \nLimited bicycles available on a first come first serve basis. \nParticipants should bring a bicycle in good working condition\, a helmet\, water\, and weather-appropriate clothing. \nRegistration Information:\nRegistration is free.
