Tamo<\/strong> is a dedicated environmental leader, educator, and community organizer with over eight years of experience driving grassroots sustainability initiatives across Canada and internationally. His work spans ecological restoration, climate change education, youth empowerment, and climate resilience, all anchored in a vision of social and environmental justice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As the founder of Environmental Education for a Better Earth (established in 2017), Ulrich has transformed the organization from a local initiative into an internationally accredited NGO with observer status at the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). He developed an afterschool curriculum on environmental sustainability and climate change education to bridge knowledge gaps among youth. His advocacy campaigns have tackled plastic pollution, neighborhood climate awareness, ecology restoration, nature-based solutions, and sustainable packaging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the policy level, Ulrich is actively engaged in the development and shaping of environmental policies at all levels. He participates in the African Ministerial Conference on the Environment (AMCEN), where he works alongside African environment ministers to formulate policies that address the continent\u2019s environmental challenges..<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-info-box uagb-block-e92f2344 uagb-infobox__content-wrap  uagb-infobox-icon-above-title uagb-infobox-image-valign-top\"><div class=\"uagb-ifb-content\"><div class=\"uagb-ifb-title-wrap\"><\/div><p class=\"uagb-ifb-desc\">Additionally, as a member of the UNEP NGO and Women\u2019s Major Group, Ulrich contributes to global environmental initiatives. He is actively involved in the UNEP Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee (INC) on plastic pollution and plays a key role in evaluating global environmental engagement at the United Nations Environment Assembly.<br><br>Ulrich serves as a Field Researcher and Environmental Outreach Specialist in the Wild Dives and Toronto and Region Conservation Authority joint project, where he merges scientific fieldwork with public education to highlight the importance of Indigenous knowledge in environmental stewardship.<br><br>As Cameroon Country Lead for the African Climate Reality Project (2021 &#8211; 2023), he mentored newly trained climate leaders and coordinated climate justice initiatives. His contributions to Cameroon\u2019s Climate Change Education country profile, developed in collaboration with UNESCO and the MECCE project (University of Saskatchewan), have helped shape national sustainability efforts. Additionally, he has engaged internationally with UNEP, collaborating with environmental ministers, multinational organizations, and NGOs to develop environmental policies.<br><br>Ulrich\u2019s career encompasses leadership roles in environmental advocacy, climate organizing, and volunteer mobilization. As a former Advocacy Lead for Youth for Climate Policy and Coordinator for the African Network for the Promotion of Environmental Education, he has designed and delivered climate change education, organized global workshops, and built coalitions amplifying youth and community voices. His work includes training and managing large volunteer teams, designing inclusive educational curricula, and implementing nature-based solutions such as urban gardens, tree planting campaigns, and sustainable fishponds.<br><br>Fluent in English and French, Ulrich is a skilled communicator with expertise in data analysis, IT support, GIS, and digital collaboration platforms. His professional certificates from IBM, and Esri span data science, climate resilience, and spatial analytics.<br><br>A recognized advocate for climate action and community-driven solutions, Ulrich is a member of The Queen&#8217;s Commonwealth Trust, Climate Reality Leader, trained by former U.S. Vice President Al Gore, and a Neighbourhood Climate Action Champion with the City of Toronto.
