Dr. Hélène Nguemgaing is an applied economist and sustainability scholar with expertise in resource management, natural resource economics, environmental policy, and sustainable development. She holds a Ph.D. in Sustainability Studies and brings over a decade of experience across academia, industry, and international development.

Her academic and professional work spans topics such as environmental economics, critical minerals extraction, supply chains, food systems, circular economy, and climate resilience. In addition to her research and teaching in sustainability studies, Dr. Nguemgaing has held roles in the steel industry, oil sector, pharmaceuticals, civil engineering, and higher education, giving her a deep understanding of sustainability challenges and opportunities across sectors.

As an educator, she has taught and mentored students, empowering learners to think critically about global challenges and practical solutions. Her approach blends data-driven research with community engagement and interdisciplinary learning.
