The Park Ride: A Biodiversity Biking Adventure to Lake Ontario

Environmental Education for a Better Earth Canada invites community members to participate in The Park Ride, a guided cycling adventure that combines outdoor recreation, environmental education, and community connection.

Starting from Black Creek Parkland and following the Humber River Recreational Trail to Humber Bay Shore Park on Lake Ontario, participants will explore some of Toronto’s most important urban green corridors while learning about local ecosystems, biodiversity, and the role natural spaces play in creating healthier communities.

Whether you are an experienced cyclist or simply looking for a meaningful outdoor activity, The Park Ride offers a welcoming and enjoyable experience for riders of various skill levels.

What You’ll Experience

  • A guided 24 km cycling journey through parks, trails, and waterfront landscapes
  • Interactive discussions about biodiversity, urban wildlife, and habitat conservation
  • Opportunities to meet fellow community members and environmental advocates
  • A chance to promote sustainable transportation and healthy living
  • Light refreshments provided during the event

Meeting Point: Sentinel Rd & Murray Ross Parkway

Destination: Humber Bay Shore Park, Lake Ontario

Distance: Approximately 24 km

Difficulty: Moderate

Refreshment: Light refreshment available to replenish energy

Limited bicycles available on a first come first serve basis.

Participants should bring a bicycle in good working condition, a helmet, water, and weather-appropriate clothing.
